Meeting baby brother

Jon left the hospital after Ryker was born about 7:30 to go get the girls and I was left for some peace and quiet, or that was what I was hoping for. Unfortunately the room they put me in was right by the nursery and I didn't get any sleep that whole first night. Even though Ryker was an angel and slept very well. All I could do was lay there and listen to the nursery room door open and close every other minute and the nurses roll carts up and down the hall. It was awful!

Friday morning Jon brought the girls to meet their baby brother. We weren't so sure how this was going to go, and honestly we were a little worried about how Pressley would react. But, they both did great with Ryker. They both acted really shy when they first walked in and saw him, but they warmed up to him quickly. Jon sat them both down and they took turns holding them, and seemed to really like it. Pressley was still a little shy about it, but at least she liked him. They did such a good job holding their new baby brother.

Pressley holding Ryker for the first time, love her face!

Jordyn being a great big sis!

After a few doctors checked in on us and Ryker had all of his tests taken care of, we were able to go home at about 5:30. We found out that Ryker had lost 8 ounces, which isn't a big deal when you weigh 9 pounds, and that his bilirubin level was on the brink of being high, but other than that all was well. It was a really short hospital stay, but I couldn't wait to get out of there and get some rest. Ryker wasn't too thrilled the first time he was put in his car seat, but he was great on the drive home. And once we got home he fit right in with Jon on the recliner. The girls spent the night with Jenny and Travis, thank you!, and so we were able to have a nice, quiet evening and try to catch up on some sleep.

Getting ready to go home, not loving the car seat.

Chillin' with dad. (Don't know what is with Jon's face.)
