Labor Day weekend

What a busy weekend we had! Jon was off work from Friday through Monday, which is quite unusual with his job. We had fun running around doing errands with the girls on Friday. We went up to Shannon's work, she works in doctor's office, and she was able to do an ultrasound on me so we could try to check out the baby. Unfortunately since I am so far along and the baby is so big, we couldn't see much. What we could see was that it is definitely a boy, and he hasn't turned head down yet, hopefully he does that soon. It was fun doing an ultrasound at this point though. After we left Shannon we stopped at the Farmer's Market at Thanksgiving Point to see what fun stuff they had out. We saw some very pretty wood carved vases and bought some yummy, and healthy pancake mix. Then it was off to Costco where the girls saw the new Little Mermaid on the TV's and had a meltdown because we wouldn't buy it. We're so mean.

Saturday we had a bunch of friends over for a BBQ. They all brought their kids and we set up the pool and the slide and the kids had a blast. Jon broke out the mullet wig which everyone of course got a big kick out of and all the guys took turns trying it on. We ate some yummy food and hung out outside as long as we could then headed inside for some rock band. Everyone had a great time, and we had a good end of summer party.

Sunday we went up and met Shannon and her family at the bowling alley and tried bowling. None of us are all that great, I think Pressley beat most of us. The kids got to play on their own lane and the adults had our own lane. We had a pretty good time and the kids loved it. Then we headed to TGIFridays for some dinner and then up to Shannon's so the guys could work in the basement and the kids could play. It was a busy night, but we had fun. Thanks for playing with us Shannon and Craig!

Today we had a lazy day to recoup from our weekend. The weather was crazy, rainy and cold, although it feels really good to have the temperature drop, for me anyway. We haven't had a lazy day forever and it was so nice to hang out, read, watch TV, and pretty much do nothing all day. We all needed that.

I'm about to 37 weeks now and really starting to feel it. I am not sleeping well and now I wake up all through the night with my hips hurting from laying on my side for too long. So then I have to turn over, and that is no easy feat. Other than night time I don't feel too terrible. The drop in temperature is definitely helping. I think we are ready for this baby to arrive. We finally finished all the painting in the bedroom and have everything out and ready that we need. So now, it's up to him.
