So we did it. We have purchased a mini van! Or an assault wagon which Jon and Jordyn now call it. This is a vehicle Jon and I both never thought we would drive, but the day has come. With two kids and the third on the way we decided it was time for a bigger vehicle, and one that was easier to get in and out of than our Pacifica. As much as I dreaded being a "mini van driver" I have come to love it. The girls can get in and out on their own, there is much more space without having to fold seats down, and once the baby is here Jordyn can get to the backseat without having to climb over the middle row. And it even gets better gas mileage than our last car, which is great these days! It is also full of options that we have always wanted. A DVD player for the kids (they love it), leather and heated seats, doors that open with the push of a button, a back-up sensor that beeps if anyone/thing is behind you, and a navigation system that we have yet to figure out. It is very comfortable and great for the kids. So yes, we are those people now. But we're okay with that.

I have to add a small story to go along with this. When we first started looking at vans we went and test drove one and we all loved it, especially Jordyn. She was so excited because she could do her seat belt up all by herself. I loved that too! Well we couldn't get a van the day we test drove and when we left without it Jordyn cried. She was so upset because she "loved that car!" We explained to her that we needed some more money to get a van, so we were waiting for a different one. She told Jon she would give us the money in her piggy bank so we could go buy the van tomorrow. How nice of her! So the day we went to actually buy a van we were all getting in the car and leaving the house and Jordyn says "Don't forget my piggy bank!" We ran in and got both girls' piggy banks and were off to buy a van. When we were ready to leave Jordyn and Pressley both took some money from their banks and gave it to Brian, our salesman/brother in law. They were both so excited that they bought our new van!
