Skinny dipping, painting toes, and 24 weeks...

We had a play date with my friend Shannon and her daughter Bailey and baby Alex yesterday. The girls were all so excited to see each other and had so much fun dressing up like princesses and playing in the house. They were finally able to go outside and play for a bit when the sun decided to make an appearance and they jumped on the tramp and played in the sandbox building sand castles. Shannon and I enjoyed sitting on the couch having some adult conversation for awhile. Suddenly Shannon looks out the back window and says " I see a hose and a bare bum." We both darted for the back door to find the girls had stripped down to nothing, filled the sand box with water from the hose, and were now swimming in it. Needless to say they were having the time of their lives! Or as Jordyn just told me when she saw this picture "We had a blast!"

I have reached the 24 week mark. All is still going well, but I am definitely noticing the baby and my growing tummy when I bend over or bend down for stuff. It is harder to get back up and to reach for things. I am still feeling well though. I have spent the last few days sorting through all the girl clothes I have and getting them ready to sale or give away. It is sad to see all the sweet little baby girl items go away, but we have no more need for them. It is now time to switch everything to blue and buy some boy clothes. I have had mixed feelings about getting rid of all of the girls clothes. (Hopefully my motherly instinct isn't trying to tell me the ultrasound is wrong.) I think it is just hard seeing the girls grow up and getting rid of all of their little things.

I think I have painted my own toes for the last time today. I have reached the point where doing that is about impossible, and completely uncomfortable. That or I have to find some strange new way to sit to be able to do it comfortably. Guess now I'll just have to go get pedicures, oh darn!

Cute! Cute! And don't feel bad about not being able to reach your toes! You did a fab job it looks like! I usually paint half my skin when I do it! The pic of the girls is wonderful! Bailey was excited to see it!
