It was five years ago on Jan. 4th that Jon left for Iraq. Jordyn was 12 weeks old, but had only been home from the hospital for three weeks. And on the 17th of this Feb. he will have been home for four years. It seems like such a lifetime ago that I was home alone with Jordyn while Jon was so far away. And it is so crazy to me where we are now, three kids later! Looking back on these pictures makes me so grateful of all we have and that he made it back safely!
Seeing Jon off at the armory, at 5 a.m. We were exhausted and so sad to have him leave!
I went to visit Jon in Colo. Springs before they flew off to Iraq. We stayed in a nice sweet and enjoyed two days together!

He finally made it! It took them so long to get let off the plane and out of formation. It was torture having to just stand there and wait for him.

Seems kind of like yesterday! It took forever to pass and now it is so long ago!
