A couple weeks ago I got to run away to California to spend some time with Bekky again. I have the best husband ever for letting me go kid free! Bekky lives in San Jose, so I try to go out once a year to visit and have some girl time. This year I got there on a Thursday and stayed through Sunday. Thursday night we went out to a place called Taxi's and had some great food for dinner, the best hamburger ever, and then went to a movie. It was nice just to hang out.
Friday we relaxed by the pool at Bekky's house, which was so nice! The weather was perfect, the pool was gorgeous, it was awesome! And, I actually got to swim without having to hold three kids at the same time! Later that night we went to dinner at Bekky's work, Piatti. It is the best Italian restaurant! They have this ravioli in a lemon cream sauce that is to die for! I get it every time I go out there. We had a lot of fun talking with her friends at work and eating yummy food and drinks.

Saturday morning we headed off for San Fransisco. This was our third trip out, and we were excited to go see some new stuff. We headed straight to the California Center of Science. It is a new building in Golden Gate Park. They had all sorts of awesome stuff to see. We started out by watching the penguins get fed and learned a little about them. Then we wandered through some exhibits, and then went through the rainforest part. There was also a large aquarium, and a live roof top that you could go up on and see.

Afterwards we went to see the Conservatory of Flowers. It was a really cool building in Golden Gate Park as well. It was FULL of flowers, plants, trees, everything you can think of. Very pretty, but extrememly humid so we didn't last in there for very long! We did get some good pictures though!

When we were finished here we headed along the coast a bit to one of our fave restaurants, The Cliffhouse. They have the best popover rolls! We ate a TON of those and some clam chowder. This restaurant has the BEST view too! It sits right on the water. LOVE it!

After lunch we headed to our hotel which was down near Fisherman's Wharf. We were quite excited to stay here, since we had been kicked out of this hotel last year due to overbooking on their part. But this year it was a free stay, so all the better! It was the cutest hotel! Not decorated like your typical hotels are.

After resting for a bit we headed down to Fisherman's Wharf to wander around. We saw all the usual crazy's down there and enjoyed looking through some stores. Bekky found a very glittery man and got her pic done with him.

Then we headed to another fabulous restaurant for some yummy dinner. We went to McCormick and Kuletos in Ghiradelli square. This restauarant also has beautiful views and sits looking out over the water. And, they have fabulous food! Afterwards, we went and got the BEST hot fudge sundaes! YUM!

After wandering around for awhile we headed back to our hotel to just hang out and relax. We sat outside our hotel for a bit in this little loung area with a fireplace. It was so good to just get away, spend some time with my bestest friend Bekky, and relax! Thanks Bekky for another great trip, and thanks Jon for letting me go away for a few days!!
